Staff & Volunteers

Cascade Camp Cedarbrook staff come from many walks of life and many Christian denominations.

Counselors

  • are positive Christian role models who live, eat and play with campers.
  • teach an action-oriented Bible curriculum to their cabin group.
  • share a hobby or interest with kids as an activity leader for one hour a day.
  • are essential to the emotional, social and spiritual growth of campers.

Activity Specialists​

  • are certified to teach skill-building activities such as swimming, canoeing, archery, and horsemanship.
  • build a camper’s confidence and give them the opportunity to grow as they risk learning something new.
  • make camp a safe place to have fun. help campers see themselves as part of God’s wonderful creation

Come Alongside Team Member​

The “Come Along Side” team member (a.k.a. CAST member) is a staff member with experience in psychology, counseling or mental health.  They will be focused on providing extra support necessary for campers and staff to make their week successful.  The CAST member will provide additional emotional and developmental support to campers and staff throughout various times in the day and throughout the camp week.

Site Specialists​

works with the Koinonia staff to keep the camp environment safe and healthy by performing maintenance and repairs.

Camp Nurse

  • is a licensed RN, LPN, EMT, Paramedic, ARNP, or MD who provides healthcare to the campers and staff by:
    • administering medications as ordered by the camper’s healthcare provider or per the approved standing orders
    • administering first aid as necessary
    • ensuring the health and well-being (physically, developmentally and psychologically) of our campers and staff
    • communicating with the healthcare manager and camp director

Division Director​

  • are positive Christian role models who support the counselors for a particular age division.
  • observe Bible-Exploration times for the counselors and participate in the Morning Watch devotions.
  • share a hobby or interest with kids as an activity leader for two hours a day.
  • are essential to the emotional, social and spiritual growth of counselors and campers.
  • provide additional resources and support to counselors when necessary to maintain cabin unity.
  • are the communication link between the counselor and the camp director
